Awesomatix A800FXR 1:10 FWD Chassis Kit
The A800FX was followed by the A800FX Evo and now the A800FXR - the (R-)evolution of a car that follows exactly the principles of Awesomatix:
Nothing is good enough that it cannot be made better.
With the A800R platform now fully developed, it's time for the front-wheel drive touring car world to benefit from over two years of comprehensive development of its touring car counterpart. The A800FXR builds on the proven A800R touring car concept—a shortened chassis plate for minimal overhang and chassis friction, and improved damping characteristics over the FX Evo platform—while retaining the successful powertrain and steering geometry of its predecessor.
The standout feature of the A800FXR kit is its innovative two-piece, dual-material chassis plate. The aluminum front section supports the front end, transmission, and electronics, while a carbon fiber rear section holds the rear assembly. It not only offers improved weight distribution and refined flex characteristics, but also unprecedented tunability, allowing for four different wheelbase settings, truly redefining the phrase "the best of both worlds"!
The A800FXR introduces newly developed D4 dampers. Building on the proven D3 damper concept – which implemented external damping level adjustment – the new D4 generation now also allows external switching between three damping modes: linear, semi-progressive, and progressive. This eliminates the need for a complete shock rebuild to switch the damping mode!
Other improvements to the D4 over the previous D3 include a wider available range of spring adjustment and increased suspension travel.
The kit features a new front upper deck made of fiberglass composite, which, together with a new rear upper deck made of carbon fiber, further increases front flexibility and improves flexibility distribution across the entire chassis area.
To further enhance the tuning possibilities, the kit is rounded off by BW41 and BW29 front chassis ballast weights positioned under the differential, as well as the newly developed ST265 modular front bumper weight - now included as standard - which allows the attachment of up to six round and portable ST110 weights.
A800FXR features:
– Revolutionary two-piece, two-material chassis design that allows for four different wheelbase settings and can accommodate up to thirteen flush TW5 tungsten weights
– Newly developed D4 dampers that allow external switching between linear, semi-progressive and progressive damping modes

Very IMPORTANT:
This car is still not for beginners, even though the A800 platform represents a huge step toward mass compatibility.
Adjusting the car requires some prior knowledge and the ability to learn new things and sometimes ignore old wisdom.
Assembling the car also requires a bit of experience. The instructions aren't the easiest, and there are always changes/adjustments that aren't always mentioned in the manual.
Anyone who enjoys working with their car and is able to understand and react to complex issues will find fulfillment here.
The car can only show its full performance if you are willing to work with it and invest time.
The A800FXR is NOT a car you can simply park after driving. You should be prepared to work on it after EVERY run.
5 minutes of effort after each battery and you ALWAYS have a really cool car on the track.
If you are not prepared to make this effort, you should stick with a car with a classic body.
Anyone who is willing to afford it will find a technical masterpiece here!
Included in delivery:
The car is delivered as a kit. As is usual with competition models, it comes without any electronics, body, or wheels.
Another quirk of Awesomatix is that it doesn't include a main gear. There's also no servo horn in the kit.
The assembly instructions are only available as a PDF version for download.
